Recall: TUSA Diving Computers

TUSA recalls diving computers due to drowning and injury hazards. The dive computer can malfunction and display an incorrect reading to the diver, posing a drowning and injury hazard due to decompression sickness.

STUBAI recalls ice axes due to laceration and impact hazards. This recall involves the STUBAI Tour Lite Telescope ice axe. The knife in the axe handle can detach, posing a laceration or impact hazard to the user or bystanders.

Rocky Mountain Bicycle Recall



Recall: Rocky Mountain Bicycles

Rocky Mountain recalls bicycles with front disc brakes to replace quick release lever due to crash hazard. An open quick release lever on the front wheel hub can come into contact with the front disc brake assembly, causing the front wheel to come to a sudden stop or separate from the bicycle, posing a risk of injury to the rider.

Black Diamond ASPIR Harness



Alert: Petzl ASPIR Harnesses

Petzl has shared a news release about a safety concern with their ASPIR harnesses. An unknown number of these harnesses were dangerously modified and then resold on Ebay, which is never a recommended source for buying climbing gear. Safety leg loops or waistbelts were cut and restiched in a way they could break under force within range of standard climbing activities. These harnesses should be inspected and Petl recommends destroying them if such stitching is present.

Recall: Crescent Point Propane

Crescent Point Energy recalls 118,000,000 gallons of propane for use in recreational vehicles, barbeques, stoves, and other appliances. The propane is being recalled for inspection due to insufficient levels of odorant to alert consumers of a gas leak.
