Driver Training Cone Courses

Driving presents one of the greatest risks of catastrophic injury or loss of life on outdoor programs. The vehicles that are most often utilized—15 passenger vans—are not the easiest to handle, especially with trailers. Cone courses are a great way to train drivers and reduce the potential for accidents.

Transporting clients and staff in program or contracted vehicles poses one of the most significant risk concerns for many organizations.  As we move quickly into the peak season for many organizations we want to offer some instigating questions and common industry practices to prepare and potentially integrate into your upcoming field season.  It's an ongoing issue with no simple answer.  Let us know if you have any thoughts or questions on this.
