Warning Notice: FIXE Anchors

FIXE (Tech Rock) issued a warning for faulty anchors due to stress corrosion cracking. This is important because FIXE is a leading manufacturer of anchors, and they are widely used. FIXE cannot limit the problem to one single production batch and all top chain anchors of the manufacturer made of stainless steel may be affected.

Recall: Cannondale Bikes OPI

Cycling Sports recalls Cannondale Mountain Bicycles with OPI stem/steering tube. The OPI stem/steering tube assemblies can fail, causing fall hazard. 23,000 bikes are being recalled in the U.S. plus about 800 in Canada.

Recall: CAMP USA Crampons

CAMP USA recalls two crampon models used for ice climbing: Blade Runner and Tour Nanotech. The front part of Blade Runner crampons can break where the points connect to the crampons, posing a fall hazard. Tour Nanotech crampons are recalled because the heel bail which connects the ankle strap to the crampon can detach, also posing a fall hazard.

Public Notice: NRS Zen Rescue Life Jackets

Public Notice October 2014: A limited number of NRS Zen Rescue Life Jackets were manufactured with an incorrectly threaded top side adjustment strap. This prevents the strap from maintaining a safe, snug fit. These units should not be used, and they should be replaced as soon as possible.

Black Diamond Jetforce Avalanche Airbag Packs have been recalled. The motor can malfunction and prevent the airbag from deploying, increasing the risk of injury or death in the event of an avalanche. Packs should be returned for repair.

Technosport recalls Omersub Zero Cube scuba diving mask. Non-conforming glass was used for the lens, which can shatter, posing injury hazard. Consumers should stop using the mask and contact Technosport for replacement.

Cycling Sports Group recalls GT Fury Mountain Bicycles. The front wheel hub can break and cause disk brake system failure, posing crash and injury hazards. Consumers should stop using the bikes and bring them to an authorized GT dealer for free front wheel replacement.

Trek Quick Release Lever Caught in Front Disc



Recall: Trek Bikes Disc Brakes

Trek recalls bicycles with front disc brakes to replace quick release lever due to crash hazard. An open lever on the front hub can contact the front disc brake assembly, causing the front wheel to stop or separate from the bike.
