Ortovox S1+ Transceiver



Recall: Ortovox S1+ Transceivers UPDATED

Ortovox announces precautionary recall of S1+ Avalance Tranceivers. A disturbance can occur in the transmission function due to a component that can fail at any time. Customers should stop using the device, and the faulty component should be replaced only through an Ortovox service point.


RECALL UPDATE June 2, 2105: All 3000 beacons with S1+ technology have been officially recalled. The S1+ hardware can fail, resulting in an inability to transmit a discoverable signal during an emergency situation, even as the unit appears to be powered on and functioning properly. Devices should be returned for replacement.

Goal Zero Solar Battery Pack Recall

Goal Zero recalls Sherpa 50 and Sherpa 120 rechargebale power packs. The solar-chargeable batteries often used for devices on outdoor trips can overheat, causing fire hazard. Power packs should not be used and can be replaced via Goal Zero.

Helmets involved have model number 1405362 and the manufacture date "Jan. 2014" on a sticker inside the helmet. Recalled helmets should be returned for refund or replacement.
