Recalled BCA Float Airbag



BCA Avalanche Airbag Recall

Backcountry Access (BCA) in conjunction with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada has recalled certain "Float Airbags." There have been no injuries as a result of this issue; however, the trigger may fail to properly deploy the airbag when pulled. Customers can obtain a replacement, upgraded trigger from BCA.

Recalled Wild Country Rocks



Wild Country Rocks Recall

Wild Country has recalled certain batches of their "Rocks" brand climbing nuts. This involves "Classic Rocks" and "Anodised Rocks" purchased starting in January 2010. The recent failure of a Rock caused an investigation that revealed some Rocks do not meet strength standards.

Recalled UCO Arka LED Lantern



UCO Arka LED Lantern Recall

UCO Arka LED Lanterns have been recalled. The lantern's wall charger plug can fail during normal use, posing a fire hazard. The lanterns were sold exclusively at REI stores and online from April to May of 2013. Users can contact REI for a replacement plug.

Driver Training Cone Courses

Driving presents one of the greatest risks of catastrophic injury or loss of life on outdoor programs. The vehicles that are most often utilized—15 passenger vans—are not the easiest to handle, especially with trailers. Cone courses are a great way to train drivers and reduce the potential for accidents.

GNU Snowboard Bindings Recall

GNU snowboard bindings have been recalled due to a fall hazard. The ankle straps may break. Numerous models are effected (follow the link for list and more details). Contact the manufacturer for free replacement straps. There have been 30 reports of strap failures with no injuries.
