Lotus PFD recall

mildwater pfdCheck your Lotus designs PFD’s.  If you have the Lotus designs Mildwater PFD it may fall under a voluntary recall by Patagonia.  After the floatation was tested by the the U.S. coast guard, certain models were non-compliant with the buoyancy requirements.  They will either replace the PFD or fully refund your money if it falls under their recall guidelines.  Its easy and the turn around is quick.  Check out the Patagonia site for full details:

Patagonia PFD = Partial Floatation Device.  Patagonia normally has great quality.  I wonder if this is a case of vague testing procedures by the Coast Guard or truly a bad design, selection of materials or other manufacturer issue.

This also applies to the models sold as “Fishing PFD” style number 82770 and “Patagonia Fishing Vest” style number L1155…again see the Patagonia announcement for full details.
