Simple and Affordable protection for your rope and webbing

ice climbing with spirollSpiroll

The Spiroll is a polyurethane device that easily wraps around a section of your climbing rope or webbing to protect it from abrasion.  Simple, lightweight, affordable ($10), and as effective as all of the other “padding” that we use while top-roping to protect our webbing and ropes from abrasion as they go over a sharp area.  The spiroll can be used to protect rope against the direct hit from an ice tool.  Additionally the spiroll can be cut to make an effective ice screw cover.
